Walk-In Tubs

A door built into the side of the tub, so getting in means stepping through it instead of swinging a leg over the wall.

What's actually in this photo

That's one of our installed units with the side door standing open. Instead of climbing over a tub wall that's often knee-high or higher, you open the door, step through at floor level, and close it behind you before the water goes on. A chrome grab bar is set beside the seat, right where a hand reaches for it getting in or out, and the surround around the unit is travertine, so the room still reads as a finished bathroom rather than a medical fixture bolted into the corner. Inside, there's a built-in seat at a height that doesn't ask you to lower yourself all the way to the floor of the tub, and the controls sit within easy reach of that seat rather than at the far end where you'd have to lean.

Who a walk-in tub is really for

Most of the people who call us about a walk-in tub are buying it for a parent, or they've had a knee or hip surgery and the old tub has become something to be careful around instead of something to relax in. Hydrotherapy and air-bubble jets are available if a soak is the point, and we also install Jacuzzi units for anyone who wants that specifically. It isn't only for people with limited mobility either. Plenty of our customers just want their bath back, minus the climb.

Bought for a parent, used by the whole household

We hear the same story often enough that it's worth saying plainly: a family buys a walk-in tub for an aging parent, and within a few weeks everyone in the house prefers it. The seat means you're not lowering yourself onto a hard tub floor, the door means nobody's stepping over a wall with wet feet, and the grab bar is there for a seventy year old and for someone six weeks out of knee surgery. Financing is available through partnered providers if a full install is more than you want to pay up front, and we can build a 3D rendering on request so you know exactly what the finished room looks like before we start.

“We purchased a walk-in tub from BathWorks4U for my aging parents, and it's been a game-changer. The low step-in, built-in seat, and grab bars provide a level of safety and comfort...”

“After knee surgery, I needed extra support in the tub, and this seat was a lifesaver. It's sturdy, well-designed, and doesn't wobble at all.”

Not sure a tub is the right call for your bathroom?

Some rooms suit a walk-in shower better, especially if the person using it wants to stand rather than sit. We'll tell you which one fits during the free in-home consultation, no obligation either way. We're an authorized dealer for Anthology, so the units we install carry that brand's build quality, and if you'd rather order a product without a full installation, that's available for customers outside our direct service area. Our main showroom is on Shortcut Hwy in Slidell, with a second location at the Covington Walmart Supercenter.
